In our increasingly globalized society, many people already recognize that learning a second language widens career opportunities and provides cognitive benefits.
There are so many other reasons that are, in my opinion, more profound than advancing a career or making yourself smarter. Learning a second language has the power to build genuine connection, develop empathy, challenge deeply held beliefs, and help people realize that there is more than one way to live a life in this world.
